Aston Martin Rapide review

The Aston Martin Rapide comes standard with antilock disc brakes, brake assist, stability and traction control, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. Front and rear parking sensors are also included. The driver seat is marvelously comfortable, with ample legroom and headroom for taller drivers. It features swan-doors and excellent room for up to four adults. Each occupant is provided with a sculpted, hand-stitched leather seat, expansive legroom and a driving experience certain to put a smile on the face of any secret agent.

Under this is an aluminum structure said to give the 4-door the same stiffness as the 2-door brethren. The front suspension comes from DB9. At the back are a new subframe and a saddle fuel tank to maximize rear load area. Aluminum is used for all you see outside save the rear fender structure (steel) and the front fenders and rear tailgate (SMC composite).

The front mid-mounted 6.0 litre V12 engine which sits at the heart of Rapide produces 470 bhp (477 PS / 350 kW) with peak power being delivered at 6000 rpm and 600 Nm (443 lbft) and peak torque at 5000 rpm. The resultant 0-60 mph time is 5.0 seconds.
