Acura RL 2010 review

The 2010 Acura RL demonstrates that refined luxury is complemented perfectly by advanced technology and performance adrenaline. In addition to delivering luxury, style and performance, Acura’s top-of-the-line sedan keeps drivers more connected to their world, and the world around them, by featuring the latest in intuitive, easy-to-use, state-of-the-art technology.

It was powered 3.7-liters V-6 engine that develops 300 horsepowers and 271 lb-fts of torque with an innovative VTEC® valvetrain system for both the intake and exhaust valves, a high compression ratio, along with a special dual-stage magnesium alloy intake manifold that enables the intake to function as a single- or dual-plenum manifold design based on engine operating parameters.

The 2010 RL features an elegantly styled interior that includes leather-trimmed heated front seats, comfortable space for rear seat passengers, plenty of storage areas and easy-to-use functionality. The passenger front seat has 10-way power adjustability. Generous use of insulation, an acoustic glass windshield and an Active Sound Control system team to further reduce noise in the RL’s already quiet cabin. The front seats incorporate six levels of ventilation and steering wheel and shift knob are trimmed with simulated wood trim.

Acura ZDX - a luxury car review

The ZDX is designed to break new ground for Acura in the areas of provocative styling, contemporary luxury and meticulous refinement. With its sensuous curves, sharply raked roofline and bold fender flares, the ZDX blurs the distinction between coupe, sedan and sport utility vehicle. Clean, flowing lines start from the headlights and run the length of the car, accentuating the cars presence and grace. In keeping with the coupe-inspired styling, the rear door handles are cleverly concealed in the C-pillar.

Steering is direct and nicely weighted and the vehicle never feels top-heavy. Brakes scrub off speed capably, which is impressive considering the car’s 4,400 lb curb weight. Acceleration is brisk with a 6.5 second time to 60-mph, thanks to a 300-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine. The six-speed auto has been updated for the ZDX with quicker shifts and there’s a Sport mode to ensure the car says in a lower gear longer.

In front, the ZDX adopts Acura's signature "floating" grille, which is surrounded by a honeycomb-design air opening and is finished in an elegant satin metallic. Windswept high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights, aggressive cooling inlets and careful attention to radiator airflow boost cooling efficiency as well as fuel economy. The bodyside is equally inspiring, with strong character lines sweeping rearward, promoting a sense of motion and tension. The dramatically sloping rear body fully delivers on the ZDX's sports coupe inspiration, with large, confident fender flares.
